Skyrock Hits
the Spot Year End 2018 High Points
Wilson
(Skyrock Hits the Spot) has once again topped the charts with the WA POA Club.
He brought home high point halter gelding, high point halter horse, high
point 19/over non pro performance, and high point 19/over gaming. Go Wilson!

Bouncer on
Working Vacation in Indiana
Aiming
for a bit more exposure and some possible showtime, Bouncer has gone out on a 2
year lease to the Colberts place in Indiana. There he will experience grass (!),
some under saddle work and produce a couple foals for them and hit a few classes
in the show ring. We'll expect him back at Skyrock around April 2020.

Driftwood
Dixie Now Grazing Greener Pastures
Our
great old mare Dixie has gone ahead, and we will sure miss her. Dixie has spent
the last couple of years hanging out in her tree covered pen by our bedroom
window. She had developed arthritis from a nasty kick to the knee acquired when
she was 12, and she was being kept comfortably as a pasture puff. K was able to
come home from college and spend a day with her, and she left surrounded by
family, after munching down two flakes of hay (which she had been forbidden to
eat since her bad colic episode a few years ago). Dixie was one of the greats -
the perfect POA.

Kayla
Graduates POA & Colts Win at the Futurity
This
past August 24 & 25 Futurity Shows were very successful and yet bittersweet.
Kayla rode her last class as a Youth on Sunday. We pulled both Dixie and Penny,
former mounts for Kayla, and did some nostalgic classes. Kayla rode Dixie - her
8 & Under pony - in Costume wearing her Navajo Native Americam outfit. This
costume was first worn with Dixie when Kayla was 8 years old!
Kayla
and Dixie 2001
Kayla and Dixie
2012
Kayla
then rode catch ride on the beautiful mare Desert Queen in Hunter Under Saddle
classes, pretty well sweeping every class she entered.

At
the end of both days came the excitement, as Kayla rode Penny in Games! Pen was
so excited to be there after two years of retirement (even still tubby from
Copper) that she just about unseated Kayla as they did their first run on
Saturday. However, they got it together and had a blast both Saturday and
Sunday. Just after their Texas Rollback run on Sunday, Kayla was asked to
dismount in the arena. Shawn Wiest, our President, presented her with a lovely
bouquet, and her dad, (the announcer) shared some of her career highlights. It
was awesome.

Our
2012 foal crop did well, too! Skyrock Moves Like Jagger won the Colt's Futurity,
with Skyrock Copper Operator coming in Reserve. Jagger picked up two Grand
Champion Stallions, and Copper was right there with two Reserve Grands.

What
a great show!
Introducing
HOTROD!

Heeeeeere's
RODDY! Poor fellow - showed up at our place Friday morning - got bathed and
clipped on Saturday, and shown on Sunday! Poor K, too! She had fun showing
Roddy, but she's sure not used to setting up a pony who is that SHORT! He did
win a ribbon, though! What are we doing with this super-cute bundle of pony? He
is a resident of TIER, a rescue facility here in SoCal that we volunteer for
occasionally. TIER called us Friday morning with a dilemma - they are full up,
as so many of our rescues are, but were wanting to take in an injured horse in
desperate need of medical care. Could we take in Roddy as a foster to free up a
stall? SURE!
Roddy
is a 9 year old black gelding with lots of pretty chrome - he sure handles like
he has been a show pony at some time in his life - we were able to clip and
trailer him like an old pro. He's about 10.2, and looks like he might be a Welsh
X Mini. A history report says he is broke to ride, and I found a small
saddle gall scar on his withers, so I think that may be so, though he has not
been evaluated for riding. He'd be awfully cute in a cart, and heck, who knows -
he may already be trained for it. He is currently living with us, but is
available for adoption through TIER, True Innocents Equine Rescue. Please visit
their website for adoption details, and call us if you'd like to spend some time
with Hotrod.

Hot
Rod has been adopted! Thanks for all your Support!
Max and Sable
do us proud at the 2012 South West Regional
April
14 & 15 saw our two yearlings competing in Scottsdale AZ at the
S.W.Regional. They trailered well (Thanks, Wiest Family!) ad were very well
behaved at the stalls. Max won Grand Champion Stallion, and Sable really showed
well, winning her Yearling Fillies class, her Longe-Line class and then standing
Res. Grand Champion Mare in a tough field of nice mares. Both yearlings
were admired quite a bit, and one family just couldn't make the drive home to
Oklahoma without Sable in their trailer. Congratulations Holden Family on your
purchase of Skyrock Sable Rain, and good luck with this fine filly!

Indy
as an 18 month old
Indy showing
with Lindsay Peaton
Skyrock
POAs is super happy to announce our first "Skyrock" Supreme Champion,
Skyrock Indigo Moon. Indy was purchased by the Peaton family in AZ as an 18 mo.
old and has been shown and trained by the Peatons and students of the Peatons
ever since. She was awarded her Supreme at the POA Convention in February
2012. Thanks, Diana and Lindsay for doing a great job with this girl!
Mr Royal Tee
and K Clean Up at Year End Awards
K and
Joey had an amazing year, which makes us very happy, as K is now in college and
even though she is eligible to show one more year, she will likely only be able
to make one or two shows just for fun in 2012. At the Awards Banquet, K was
stunned as they kept calling her name. She and Joey brought home 2011 Over-All
Champion Halter Gelding, the Gelding Stakes Award, and the 13-18 Over-All High
Point Buckle. Congratulations, you two!!

Skyrock
Snowshoes 3rd in Nation Weanling Colt!
This
was a huge surprise, as we hadn't shown Brenin very much in 2010. Usually you
need to campaign pretty hard to make the National standings, but I guess the
Colorado trip to the RM Regional and the Western Classic put him in contention.
Heck, we'll take it!

Skyrock
Copper Penny ROM(T)!!!
We
applied for Penny's ROM(T) thinking that she hadn't yet earned it but wanting to
see how much further we had to go - surprise!! Her paperwork came back with her
Register of Merit certificate. Congrats to Perry Brown, Penny's "Dad"
at Skyrock West, and to K, who put every single point on her (over 1700 points).
Skyrock Hits
The Spot Makes a Mark at His First Show
Rocky
was a big hit at his first show, winning the Cal-State Futurity Weanling Colts
Class, and earning his first Reserve Grand Champion Stallion! He looked great
thanks to Stacy Lair at Competitor's Edge, who had only 3 weeks to take him from
'pasture' to 'fabulous'. His stand-out color makes him hard to miss in the ring.
Rocky and K after
his big win.
Skyrock
Snowshoes brings home Res. Grand Champion Stallion from the 2010 Western
Classic
The
Rocky Mountain Regional and Western Classic Shows, held in Loveland Colorado
over the 4th of July weekend were a success for Skyrock. K and Skyrock
Copper Penny earned the rest of the Regional Timed Points needed for her ROM(T),
plus had a couple of phenomenal HUS rides. Brenin did very well, too, starting
at the Regional where he won Res. Jr. Champion. At the Classic, he really wowed
them, as under three judges, he won his class, was Junior Champion, and then
went on to take Res. Grand Champion Stallion over a field of yearlings, 2yos,
3yos and 4yos. Brenin was the only weanling in the field. He was also super
popular back at the stalls, where he had lots of visitors and earned many hugs
and scratches. (such a good boy!) The trip was long (4 days solid traveling,
plus 5 days in Loveland) but we saw lots of beautiful scenery and some wildlife
including a pronghorn, a fox and a golden eagle! Awesome trip!
TF Whole
Lotta Pretty 2009 Res. International Weanling Filly Champion
Bouncer's
only 2009 offspring, owned by Johnny Brown of Texas and out of a gorgeous Mister
Respect daughter, LVO Whole Lotta Respect, showed at one show in 2009. The
International. This super sorrel snow-cap filly brought home the Res. Champion
Honors. LVO Whole Lotta Respect is back in foal to Bouncer for 2010 - another
champion for sure! Congratulations!
Skyrock
Copper Penny Third in Nation in '08 13-18 Open Show Program
Our
ex-broodmare, Skyrock Copper Penny, who is currently being conditioned and
trained for gymkhana and HUS, surprised us with her qualifying for top five in
POAC's Open Show Program. Penny and K showed at several Open Gymkhanas last
year, doing very well despite being new to the game, and ended up 3rd Over-All
in the Nation in the 13-18 Division. Way to Go Penny & K!!
Skyrock
Ruby Six, Bouncer's first foal,
delivers Bouncer's first grand-get!
"Rock
Me Rebel" (name pending)
(BR
Rockin Rebel X Skyrock Ruby Six)
This
is a grand slam first grand-get for Bouncer- A gorgeous dun colt with a snow-cap
blanket, and cute-as-can-be star and snip. He's also a grandson of Santee
Saladin, as his sire, BR Rockin Rebel is a cremello son of Mr T's.
Congratulations to Lake Shore POA Farm and Rhonda Hoadly on this lovely colt!
Skyrock
Weanlings Dominate Cal-State Futurity
Cal-State
POAC held it's annual PonyRama, B&P and Futurity this weekend (Aug
23&24). We had entries in the Weanling Colts and Weanling Fillies divisions.
Our black leopard colt, Skyrock Shadowman, took first place under all three
judges, winning both the Futurity and the POA classes. He then went on to win
two Grand Champion Stallions, plus a Reserve Grand. Shadow's half sister, bay
fewspot Skyrock Sunrise, took two firsts and a second under the judges, also
winning her Futurity, and going on to win a Grand Champion Mare and a Reserve
Grand. Sunny is 4 1/2 months old! In the Over-All standings, both Sunny and
Shadow competed in the In-Hand-Trail class (a little sibling rivalry!) and
though Sunny rocked in In-Hand-Trail, with the combined scores, Shadow edged her
out for the Over-All Championship, and Sunny had to be content with Reserve
Over-All. Little brother Skyrock California Boy placed 4th in the Colt's
Futurity (2nd under one judge!) - but got MANY compliments on just how cute, calm and well mannered he
is - don't worry, though - he'll catch up to his older sibs and start kicking
tail as he grows.
We
are super pleased with this year's crop - they are awesome!

Zip N Chip
Prince:
SUPREME
CHAMPION!
Stoney
and his rider K showed at the 2008 Rocky Mountain Regional in Spanish Fork, UT,
and while there were able to run their Supreme Champion Victory Lap, as Stoney
earned the final few points he needed towards his National Award.
We
are so proud of K and Stoney!!
This
marks the second Supreme Champion Pony for K within the last 2 years. K
wants to take a break, and will be schooling Skyrock Copper Penny for games. (NO
BANDING!!)
Skyrock POAs
hosts
Norco Junior Horsemen's Assoc.
We
all had a great time here at Skyrock Saturday, March 22, as we hosted the Junior
Club of the Norco Horsemen's Association. Their goal this year is to learn about
as many different breeds of horses as they can, so to this end, they are touring
ranches in the Southern CA area which breed various types of horses. Several
kids and "Grown-Ups" attended, and they learned about some of the
history of the POA and some of the foundation stallions and mares. We also
learned about what makes a POA a POA, and about Appaloosa characteristics and
color patterns. We then took a tour of the barn and got to meet some of the
ponies, and identify their coat patterns. The highlight was turning Bunny and
Shadow out into the round pen and watching him play. Shadow came right up to the
fence and made friends, and then we all went back into the house for
refreshments. Shadow did cause just a bit of concern when he lay down to nap and
wiggled himself half way under the fence, but he managed to get himself out of
it before rescue arrived, with not a scratch on him. All in all, a very nice
time, and hopefully the kids had fun and learned a little too!
Norco
Junior Horsemen's Assoc. visits Skyrock to learn about POAs.

Stoney
pulled it out of the hat again, scoring yet another Grand at this weekend's
Cal-State Show and Futurity, and earning more than enough points to qualify him
for his ROM(H). He also earned 5 other firsts and a host of placings, enough to
bring him to half way to his ROM(NT) and only 200 points shy of his ROM(T). K is
working hard to get this guy Supremed, and they are getting close!
Mr Dakota
Chisum - Supreme Champion
Dakota
has done it - our first Supreme! He and his rider acquired the last 14
points needed to qualify at the SCPOAC IBC Show held at Yucaipa on 3/31/07. It
was a very proud moment watching them take a victory lap while highlights of
their career were announced. Great job! We couldn't be more proud of this pair.
Now to file the paperwork...

Skyrock
Sienna is coming along brilliantly! Under the guidance of Stacy Lair, Sienna
(bay snowflake yearling) attended her first show on February 24th, which was an
IBC. Sienna won her class, won Junior Champion, and then took Reserve Grand
Champion over a field of very nice mares, some of whom hold National titles! We
are very pleased!

John Kennedy
Memorial Yearling Triad at
the 2006
Nationals
Dot
brought home the trophy for the first-ever John Kennedy Memorial Award, given to
the Over-All High Point Yearling at the POA National Futurities. Dot's combined
score from Halter, LungeLine and In-Hand-Trail topped the charts at this year's
Nationals. Congratulations to owner Jan B. Loveless of J-Bar Ranch and Nikki
Ferwerda, trainer.
Another
Skyrock Poster Pony!

Dazzle's
Sugar Babe is following in daddy Bouncer's hoof prints! This spectacular 2006
black few-spot filly was the centerfold poster pony in the popular German equine
magazine, "Pferde anzeiger", and also appears in a five page article
on POAs in Germany. Congratulations to Anina Weber, Sugar Babe's owner.

2006 International
Yearling LongeLine Champion
The
first foal from Bouncer's first crop to show at an International has done us all
proud. JBar Bouncin Dot Com won the Yearling LongeLine class at the July 2006
International in St Louis MO. A beautiful bay few spot filly, Dot has had that
champion look since the day she was born. Congratulations to J-Bar Ranch and Jan
B. Loveless, owner, and Nikki Ferwerda who showed Dot to her Championship. Dot
also placed in Yearling In-Hand Trail, Most Colorful and had a placing
under the GOOD judge in Halter. Also - very good news for you folks looking for a potential champion
to add to your show string: CAs Sabrina has been checked in foal to Ultimate
Bounce for a full sibling due in 07. Give Jan a call!
Ultimate Bounce Representing
the POA Breed for Arabian Horse Assn. Poster

Bouncer is located in the middle of North America, standing
next to Dreamfinder.
Bouncer
has been chosen by the Arabian Horse Association to represent the POA Breed on
their Nationally distributed poster depicting horse breeds of the world
descended from Arabian blood. Black Hand, POA #1, was the first foundation
stallion of our breed and the pony upon whom the POA type was based. Black
Hand's dam was a half Arabian Appaloosa colored mare. We at Skyrock are deeply
honored that the AHA would consider Bouncer such a fine example of our breed.
These posters are currently available from the AHA.
Bouncer's

-

Ultimate Bounce
Competes
at the Cal-State Derby
Bouncer
does it again at the late August Cal-State Riding Derby for 4-5 year olds, he
won the Western Pleasure perpetual trophy. Competing with California's best, a
fine field of National caliber ponies, he pulled that fabulous lope out and
looked great with Stacy Lair aboard. Bounce previously won the English Pleasure
trophy, so we are very pleased to have his all-around ability proven with this
win. (He also placed Reserve Champion in the English Pleasure Derby!)
Stepp'n Out With A
Bounce
Wins Cal-State Futurity
Competing
in a field of excellent colts at the highly competitive Cal-State Futurity,
Bouncer's first son, Stepp'n Out With A Bounce, wowed the crowd with his
brilliant color and conformation by taking the Weanling Colt's Futurity
Championship. This is a true victory, as this futurity has been a proving ground
for many fine POAs and Select Sire Futurity winners and money earners. We are so
excited, almost as much as the Sanga family, Rascal's owners. This colt has a
fine future ahead of him.
Skyrock Sequoia Tee
N.W. Regional Champion
Weanling Colt, Res. World Champion
Skyrock
Sequoia Tee had a fine entrance to the world of showing at his first show, the
North West Regional held in early August. Here he easily took the Championship
with the guidance of Stacy Lair. At the POA World which followed the Regional,
he brought home the Reserve World Championship. Not too shabby for this fellow,
who has a ton of eye appeal and ring presence. At the height limit now, he will
be home until next season, when he'll be shown as a yearling in halter and
color, and maybe In-Hand Trail.
Western Classic and New
Homes for Skyrock Ponies
Skyrock
POAs attended the Western Classic in June 05, showing two ponies, Bouncer's
first foal, Skyrock Ruby Six, and show mare Gold's Mistie Acapella. Ruby had
only come for the ride, as the Niekirk's of OR were going to pick her up for
delivery to her new owner, Alyssa Brown of OR, but we ended up hurriedly
clipping and cleaning her up and stuck her in the fillies class. Bouncer's first
get at her first show was Champion Weanling Filly.

Bonnie
was ridden on Saturday in Costume and Games, and they turned out to be farewell
rides, because the Jenkins family of ID came down to UT to see Bonnie, and their
three boys just fell in love with her, and so Bonnie went home to ID where a new
chapter awaits her. Bonnie trailered 10 hours home without a peep and settled
right in - during an update phone call, we were told that Bonnie and the
Jenkins' 9-12 rider won Western Pleasure at their first show. Congratulations!

Ultimate Bounce Wins at the
World Again
Under
the guidance of Stacy Lair, Bouncer won both the 19 & Over Western Pleasure
class and the JPFC Western Pleasure class at the 2004 World Show in Colorado. We
are delighted with these important wins, as it shows Bouncer's all-around
excellence: not only is he pretty, but he rides, too!
Ultimate Bounce Achieves
ROM(H)
First in the Nation 3yo Stallions
We have wrapped up an
unbelievable year for Skyrock's stallions, and the topper is Bouncer standing at
#1 in the Nation for 3 yo Stallions. To make it better yet, he has earned his
ROM(Halter). We are so proud of him, and he just keeps getting better and
better. We have worked out a 2004 show schedule with trainer Stacy Lair, and
Bouncer will show local, State, World and National Futurities in JPFC, and we
fully expect him to do well.

California Futurity
Wins for Skyrock Stallions
First time out under
saddle for Ultimate Bounce has shown the POA crowd what we've known all along:
That boy can MOVE!
Placing third in the
Western Pleasure division, we were pretty happy with the result despite an
equipment failure that lowered his score. However, he made up for it in English
Pleasure, moving out with a fluidity that was really impressive, and brought
home the winning trophy.
Skyrock Skipper Twist
showed in the Yearling Halter Division of the Futurity, and brought home the
trophy too. He also scored big at the Ponyrama that the Futurities were being
held in conjunction with, taking home Grand Champion Stallion under both judges
and completely skunking Bouncer. Skipper is maturing into a fine young stallion.
First International Show
for Skyrock a
Big Success!
Ultimate Bounce and
Skyrock Skipper Twist really did Skyrock proud! At the 2003 International Show
in Shelbyville Tennessee, Ultimate Bounce won his Three-Year-Old Stallions
class, and then went on to win Senior Champion Stallion! Skipper took a Reserve
Champion in Yearling Colts, and a 5th (out of 15) in Lunge-Line - not too
bad for his second time out! - These placings earned Skipper the Small Stallion
Stakes Award!
Thanks to Stacy Lair at Competitor's Edge for fitting and showing 'the boys'.

Sweep the

Regional
and
2003 Rocky Mountain Regional
The 2003
South West Regional at Scottsdale proved a rewarding
experience for Skyrock. Two colts were fitted and shown,
Ultimate Bounce and Skyrock Skipper Twist, and they ended up going Grand and
Reserve Grand in the Stallions Division.
Both colts are headed
for the CA State shows as well as Southern CA's events, and are headed for the
World and the International this coming summer.
****************
The Rocky Mountain
Regional upheld our confidence in our boys, as they once again swept the Grands,
with Bouncer going Grand Champion Stallion, and Skipper taking Reserve Grand
Champion Stallion. Skipper also took Reserve Champion in Color and in Yearling
Lunge Line. The stakes were up there, as the RM Regional is the prelude to the
POA World, & we were happy to have them do
so well just before the "BIG" show!
They both looked
wonderful, fit and gorgeous, thanks to Stacy Lair, who has been conditioning
and handling them for Skyrock.
************
Bouncer has been
started under saddle, and Stacy reports he has wonderful movement. He
will be shown in the California Futurities at the end of August '03, and we have
plans for him to show JPFC in 2004.
Skipper is for sale,
(available after the World) but will of course continue to be shown until sold.
Skyrock has moved to
Norco, California
Skyrock POAs has
branched out into two divisions this summer. With a move to a
property in Norco, the stallions and show ponies will be stalled where training
and fitting can be intensified, and the broodmares will remain in Avocado
Heights where they will be brushed, patted and fed. We are very excited about
this move, and believe it will have a very positive impact on our program. Our
internet addresses will remain the same, and we can be emailed for new actual location
and contact information.

Mr Royal Tee
(Santee
Saladin X Suncrest Kandi Bar)
35 degrees - can you tell??
What a face!
This super cute gelding has been
leased by Skyrock for K's last show season. He's a sweetie, and K expects to
have a fun year. He comes from impeccable breeding - his sire is POA ROM
Champion and Multiple International Champion Santee Saladin, and his dam is a POA legend - Suncrest
Kandi Bar, Supreme Champion and International Versatility Champion. "Joey"
is no slouch - he has won at the National level when shown by Kan Win POAs (he
has his ROM(H)), and has spent the last few years as a reining cow horse for a
former POA family. We are very happy to have him at Skyrock!
Big Tyme
Model
(Color
Me Big Tyme X Santee Spanish Model)

Sandee is a daughter of Color
Me Big Tyme (Santee Admiral X Santee Pride) and out of Santee
Spanish Model (Santee Spanish Nick X Santee Model). With fabulous breeding
like this, we couldn't pass her up! Stacy Lair of Competitor's Edge, and Shannon
Clark of Clark Performance Horses found her at the 2009 National Sale and
purchased her for Mom, who has always wanted a Palomino! She's a little thing -
barely 53", but she's well built and should broaden out this year. Sandee
spent a bit of time at Stacy's, then was sent to be bred to Bouncer for a
2011 foal - we can't wait to see the color on this one!
Miss Lacey
Snow
(St
Niks Snowstorm X JBJ's Design By Dude)

sorrel few-spot mare

Lacey comes to us as a
large broodmare prospect. She is a homozygous few-spot mare, but has many more
credentials than her color. She is by noted sire St Nik's Snowstorm, sire of
JBJ's Firestorm and Miss Cinnamon Snow, as well as our own Driftwood Dixie. She
produced some very nice foals for Little Valley Oaks, notably LVO Respect This
Miss, and we are very happy to welcome her to Bouncer's band.

Classic Res. Grand Champion
(pictured @ 3 mos.)
(shown at the Cal-State Futurity - Res. Champion)
A
gorgeous, very correct son of Ultimate Bounce ROM(H), World and International
Champion, and out of Miss Lacey Snow, multiple Champion producer by St Nik's
Snowstorm. This colt has the "show me" attitude! His first show was in Colorado -after a two day long haul, he brought
home Res. Grand Champion Stallion. He was the only weanling in the field, and
beat several more mature colts and stallions. He
loads, hauls and overnights without stress. Ties, clips and bathes. Brenin
(Welsh for 'King') has a fabulous head and neck with a popping, lined eye that
is the best I've ever seen. He has a great hip, straight legs and outstanding
color. Because of his correctness and superior temper, he is a stallion
prospect; or as a gelding would be an incredible 8&Under, 9-12 or petite
rider 13-18 pony. We expect him to mature @ a well-built 54".
9/4-5/10
= Brenin brought home Reserve Champion Weanling Colt at the 2010 Cal-State
Futurity. He was a very good boy, and was shown to his Reserve by K.
2010

Weanling Colts.
Brenin

MR
DAKOTA CHISUM
Supreme
Champion
(JW
Chisum X World of Pleasure)
2000
chestnut snocap with blaze and 4 stockings Gelding
Dakota
is reluctantly offered for sale - may consider lease to approved home.
(Please
see Gelding's Page for more information on Dakota)

This
Supreme Champion gelding has a heart of gold. He has been a show pony his
entire life, so really knows the ropes. Awfully cute with a very loving
personality. Your kid's best friend. Dakota is best suited for a confident
beginner to intermediate, can do Lead Line and walk/jog, has a nice lope for 3
gaited classes. Does Halter, (will do Showmanship with a little tune up), lower
level games and Trail, Pleasure and Eq. Shown National level in Costume (this
pony will wear ANYTHING!). Great for farrier, ties, trailers long distance with
no problem, will stall in strange venues without worry. Has trail ridden
frequently and really likes it. At 55 1/2" and 800 lbs, he'd also
work for a smaller adult looking for a wonderful trail buddy and show pal. Owner
off to college in fall. This pony is well loved and will go to the right home
only, where he can continue making kids happy and be taken care of like the
champion that he is.
Dakota has been
LEASED!
Congratulations to the Russell
Family - have a great year with him!
Skyrock's 2009 sales:
Queen of Aces
(Santee
Ace X Royal Shamrock)

This very fine
chestnut leopard mare has been acquired from Carol Keegan of Keegan
Performance Horses. We are thrilled to have such a quality mare to breed to
Bouncer, and even more thrilled that Carol thinks enough of our operation to
allow Queen to become a part of Skyrock. This mare has a World Championship, an
ROM(H) more
Grand Championships than you can count. She is broke
to ride, but has been busy producing top quality foals for Carol. Queen's 2007 foal by Ultimate
Bounce, Skyrock Diamond Jim, was Cal-State Futurity Champion, and shown twice by
us, resulting in a Grand Championship, and three Reserve Grands.
Queen has been sold to
Gilbert Hawkins of Northern CA. She will be joining his top notch broodmare
band.
(note: Queen foaled a
black blanket 2010 filly and has been bred back to Bouncer for 2011)
Congratulations,
Gilbert!
Skyrock's 2008 sales:
Skyrock
California Boy
(Indy's
California Debut X Skyrock Copper Penny)

What a cutie!
Cowboy will mature a Medium (51-53") with an outstanding build. He is
shedding to a spectacular blue roan with blanket and spots, so will be very flashy. He will
Halter and then be a great All-Around pony! His sire is a black few-spot
by SBF Doc's Siri Plaudit, multiple World and International Champion
stallion. Cowboy's dam is an Appaloosa X QH cross, a bright bay snowflake
of Waggoner and Three Bars breeding. This colt will be a great kid's pony
- very competitive and pretty with super correct legs, a tiny head and
ears, and muscle everywhere! Super quiet and gentle, easy to catch - he
comes to you! loads and trailers great.
Cowboy
has SOLD! Congratulations to Gizelle Russell! Good Luck and have fun with
Cowboy!
Skyrock
Sunrise
(Ultimate
Bounce X Suncrest Lullaby)
This bay few-spot
filly will be an incredible show pony! She reminds me of Suncrest Ms.
Tattletail, Hall of Fame, to whom she is related. Very sweet, friendly
temperament; lovely floaty gaits, correct build - she will Halter, Longe
Line and Ride - total Supreme Champion here! BONUS- she will produce color
every time bred, so after her show career, she can produce the next
generation of Champions! See Bouncer's page for his Championships.
Suncrest Lullaby was shown to several Grands and was International
Champion 2yo Filly before a pasture accident cut her show career short.
Lullaby has produced one other foal, a black leopard full brother to
Sunny, who won the Cal-State Futurity as a weanling and is a gorgeous 3yo
gelding now being shown in CA (see SteppnOutWithABounce below). This filly is HARD to let go!
Winner of Cal-State Weanling Fillies Futurity Championship.

Black and white
leopard colt out of the Winner of the nation's biggest Futurity and
by #1 in the Nation Halter Champion - International Champion and
seven time World Champion (Halter AND Pleasure). He is super correct in every way, and has a gorgeous head
and neck, and the most outstanding coloration. He will ROM in Halter and
Color without effort! However, we can see he has a
floaty lope and lovely extended trot - this colt could be the all-around
champion of your dreams. We expect he will mature 13.3 to 14 hands with an
awesome build. Great color, great breeding,
great conformation equals one great POA!

This 2005
outstandingly colored gelding has amazing breeding. His sire, Santee Saladin is a legend: THREE time
International Champion Senior English Pleasure; International Champion
Senior Western Pleasure, International Champion Aged Stallion. POA ROM
Champion. Multiple World Championships.
His dam, Santee
Misty Twist, is a daughter of International Champion and

Stakes Winner, who sold at 18 months for $6500.
RusTee himself,
with very limited showing, was North West Regional Champion Weanling Colt,
and Reserve World Champion Weanling Colt. Modern build with rail horse movement - will make
you look
great in Equitation with his smooth ride, and later be super cute over fences. He has a
very sweet, loving personality, is easy to handle, and would make a terrific flashy

This colt is tops
in the "cute" department. He has an adorable personality
- sweet, fun loving and gentle. He is
currently registered
POA ID and Quarter Pony. He has a tank of a build, very correct, and a
cute face - he will Halter extremely well - he has a
tremendous hind end - and go on to a
successful career in All-Around. This is a Champion waiting to
happen! Mature @ a very well muscled 13.3 to 14 hands. He is of high quality, has excellent conformation, is ready to

RedHot ChiliPeppr
(Ultimate
Bounce X Driftwood Dixie) May '06

This
is Pepper at 17 mos. what a balanced build! She looks like a mature pony
already.
This cute filly is
going to be another Dixie! She will be a great 8 & Under and 9-12
pony. Pepper has pizazz yet is friendly, always nickers and comes up to be
petted. She is currently
sorrel,
and will eventually roan out like her mom. She also has very
handy movement, and a sweet lope. We expect her to mature
right around 13.2 or 3, with a sturdy build. Her sire and dam are both International and World
Champions (see Mare's page and Bouncer's page) and I can't say enough
about Dixie - the ultimate 8 & Under pony.
In my opinion, Pepper will be better! She'll be super cute on the
rail and has the power and agility for games and over fences. She also has the
potential for breeders: for those looking to improve their broodmare band
- a daughter of Ultimate Bounce, with St Nik's Snowstorm on the bottom!
Pepper has been SOLD!
Congratulations to the Deaville Family of Lake Elizabeth, and Good Luck with
Pepper!
"Skyrock
Sienna"

(foaled
5/22/06) A
lovely bay filly with a star and characteristics, Sienna has all the earmarks of
a fabulous rail pony: great legs, long neck and sweet movement. She also
has a pretty head with a sweet face. Skyrock Copper Penny, Sienna's Dam, is a bay snowflake, so we
expect Sienna to come up with some spots as she grows. This is a real good one,
and a great way to wrap up the season!
update:
Sienna has white spots popping up all over! She is a true "snowflake"
pattern and we expect much more color to come!
-
FLASH!
Sienna showed for the first time at SCPOAC's IBC show at the McCoy
Center. After winning her halter class, she also won Junior Champion and

Golden Shadow

2001 Golden
Palomino Quarter Cross Mare
Shadow
has been Sold!
This stunningly
colored 14.3 hand mare is every girl's dream! Sweet and willing, she is very
much a "people horse", loving attention. She has been
professionally started under saddle, is currently in training, and we feel she would be great for an
upper level Pony Clubber looking for a project, a 4Her, a teen or
lady who trail rides or shows Open, or a lighter gentleman looking for a
flashy ride. Shadow is very fancy with her gold
coat, white mane and long tail, blaze and 3 socks. She also has fancy
movement, and would look super cute over fences. She will get you noticed
and will always be the prettiest horse in the crowd, whether you're trail
riding, showing or leading the parade. Shadow also has nice conformation
and would cross well for Sport Pony or half Arab. Shadow is sound, current on all
shots, including WN and strangles, wormings and trims, and has recently had her teeth done by Brian
Borg AED, so she is fit and ready to go to a great new home!
Skyrock
Bouncin' Jack Brown
(Ultimate
Bounce X Skyrock Copper Penny)

Jack
has been SOLD!
Congratulations to
Brittany B. of Norco. Have fun with Jack! He's a great pony!
This black bay
gelding has exceptional conformation and style. Jack will eat up the
competition in English and jumping. His form at a jump during play is
breathtaking, and he has the same gorgeous movement Bouncer has. He is
also quite the character, playing with his arena toys and drawing a crowd
at our fence! You'll always be amused by this pretty gelding, when he's
not busy winning all the trophies at every show!
Sire Ultimate
Bounce is a multiple Regional Grand Champion, International Champion,
multiple World Champion, Western and English Futurity Winner and #1 3yo
Stallion in the Nation. Grandsire Bounce Back Jack is an
International Grand Champion by ApHC Another Bounce and out of OZs
Sweet Speculation- twice International Grand Champion Mare and in the
POA Hall of Fame. Dam Skyrock Copper Penny is a Hardship
Registered mare, by a Quarter Horse of Waggoner and Three Bars
breeding and out of a black leopard Appaloosa mare. Penny has had
very limited showing due to lack of a rider, but has Regional Halter
Points (placed over the then current World Champion mare).
Dually's
Dazzling Star
(Dual
Plaudit X Miss LA Rock Star)

A very good young
broodmare, who produced a black with blanket filly in '05 (see Skyrock
Ruby Six at bottom of page and on 'updates' page) and is bred back the
same way to Ultimate Bounce for June 06. This mare throws black and will
always throw color, as she is a sno-cap. She has excellent breeding:
Dazzle is a granddaughter of ApHC Rock Star, a leading sire of Halter and
performance Champions, World Champions and Medallion Winners, who is by AQHA
World Champion Skippa Star. Dazzle's
dam, Miss LA Rock Star,
is Abdull's Pok-A-Son bred on the bottom.
Dazzle's Sire, Dual Plaudit,
International Grand Champion Stallion, is the sire of Quicksilver Deuce, Int'l
Champion Sm. Stallion ROM(H); Dual Sensation, Int'l Res. Grand Champion Mare; X-RDs
Margarita, high-point 3yo mare and ROM(H); and Traces of Lace, high-point
yearling filly and ROM(H) - just to name a very few. Dual Plaudit is by POA legend Plaudit's Crusader, and is out of Ruth's famous
mare, HIS Fancy Feather, dam of many World and International Champions,
including His Signal Fire, International Grand Champion Gelding, and the noted sire HIS Fancy Carbine.
Dazzle
has been SOLD!
to Anina Weber of
Germany. Dazzle will join Anina's small but growing broodmare band, where
she will play her part in founding the German line of POAs. We are
all crossing our fingers for a black few spot or sno-cap colt to be
Anina's herd sire. We are sorry to see Dazzle go, but it looks like she is
going on to bigger and better things.
Good Luck,
Anina!
